The kennel in Fresno might be nicer than my house!

My mom used to make her own agility equipment. I'm not that handy. I have made some treat dispensers. I'm not vy creative either, I copied them from something I saw at a seminar.

You need: several inches of flexible clear tubing, a utility knife, and end caps that fit the tubing (2 per dispenser). Without getting up to go measure (I'm icing, maybe later), here goes.

Cut the tube into about 6 or 8 inches.
With the utility knife, cut a slit in the tube. It should be aligned lengthwise with the tube. It should be about half the length of the tube. It should spiral about 1/3 of the way around the tube.
Place an end cap on the tube, glue it, if desired.
Pour small, dry treats into the open tube end. Cap it, no glue.

The end result should be a small flexible cylinder that you can easily twist to dispense just a few treats out of the slit.

Fits in a pocket. A little easier than a baggie, and sturdier too. With practice, you and your dog may be able to dispense right into the mouth - no messy hands!
