[quote="panthera";p=1362]you found a "wang" emoticon??

She is just that awesome :cool:

When Sprocket had that piece of hay in his foot (it traveled from the front to the back! :o ) the affected area was hot to the touch. I don't know if that was the infection or the inflammation from having something in there but he was really uncomfortable. Is Gracie Girl licking at her foot a lot?

Sorry about Grace and the foot problem. Don't you hate it when there is something wrong with the little creatures and you just have to "wait and see" :(

I am worried about that - either the (hypothetical) foreign object traveling, or the infection (also hypothetical) tunneling through her foot. :/ She is licking it occasionally. It doesn't feel hot. She doesn't like me touching it, but doesn't show any signs of pain or discomfort beyond pulling her paw away. Still no limping or favoring that paw at all.

Confession: :anxious: I lanced it with a pin the night before last, and removed a pus/mucus plug about 3/8 of an inch long. The whole thing has gotten significantly smaller since I did that. I know that you are not supposed to poke at unidentified lumpy things, but I really felt like it was going to help - like it needed to be drained or unblocked or something. :uneasy: I am not a vet. I am a meddler. :embar:

Thanks, Raiem. Yes, I do hate it. I adore this girl, and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. She is my SDIT,* my girl buddy, my partner in mischief, and my constant companion. In other words, she's as special and wonderful as every other dog. :antlers: :heart:

That's good news! I too am a meddler. Remember when Molly had that lump and I picked at it until I pulled it off? It didn't help in her case but I understand the impulse!
