VegNews Photos Often Not Vegan

Why are you vegan? What is ethical veganism? How does being vegan shape your world view?

This pretty much sums up where I'm at. I was not a subscriber to their print magazine but did pick it up at news stands from time to time. I understand why they thought they needed to use stock photos of meat, but I'm unlikely to buy their magazine again as long as they continue to do that. I don't want to pay money to look at meat.

And sad kitteh...

It's funny, that post Miso linked says VegNews has made veganism appeal to more people and made it look accesible- I really think that is funny, because really it is designed to make vegansim appeal to a certain kind of people. I would comment on that but I can't from ny phone and meh, I don't care enough.

I like sensei kitteh. :)

They issued an apology now, which is good.

I was pretty disappointed with how they handled it for the past several days. Not good PR, but am glad to see they changed their policy. It sounds good!

Yeah, I'm happy about that too. I may subscribe now to support them.
