Hair Color

Oooh fun! I am of course drawn to the second one for its purpleness but, given your affinity for pink I'd think the first one is more for you. I hear you with the blue...I've seen some really bad blues (and greens) on people. What's the name of the purple?
I just walked. I was very happy.

The purple is manic panic lie locks. I decided on that one but I grabbed the wrong jar and the store won't let me exchange it without a receipt, which I lost. I'm actually kind of liking my natural color, which is dark blonde. My bangs are 100% natural color while the rest is lighter at the ends. So I'm thinking I'll leave it.

The other color is mystic heather. I think it's the same as lavender -a manic panic color from years ago.

Oh hai! We have a whole thread for hair color!

If my hair was bleached and then colored with a non permanent dye, and that dye is now mostly gone, is it ok to apply more color without doing anything else? I have never colored my hair myself and would plan on following the directions on Manic Panic or another such brand and having a friend help to apply it.

To keep colors separate, is it ok to use plain old kitchen foil?

Eta: in going hair-crazy, I stumbled across Hair Crazy, which had lots of fun ideas both for cuts and colors.

I suggest a dye remover, which you can get at drug stores or beauty supply stores.

YES on the plain old kitchen foil, and on mixing colors - MAYBE. I'm leery of mixing different brands, especially. I wanted to make gladcow's hair a pretty aqua, so I mixed a blue and a green from different brands, and she got a greyish blue. Which she rocked, but I was sad. I used the same green on my faded blue bangs and got the same result. (I CAN LEARN)

I'd suggest bleaching out the old color, unless it's REALLY faded.

Manic Panic, I am sad to say, is no longer my favorite or go-to brand for fun hair color. Their blue color batches are inconsistent as hell, and the color isn't as long-lasting as I'd like. I really like both Ion and Adore.

Manic Panic has changed their formulas.

Hair Crazy has some good brands - Crazy Color is good, but shipping is pricy. I split shipping with my friend and bought a lot of colors

I also like Ion and they just started making some really pretty pastels.
