Feral cats

Postby Dugan » Sun Oct 09, 2011 3:43 pm

I mentioned the growing apparently feral cat population in my neighborhood in another thread. The ACO's in my town have not been much helpful on other issues in the past. Probably mostly due to typical small town budget woes. Any advice for how to learn if any TNR programs exist in the area?

Maybe the local shelter would know. I'm surprised that Animal Control wouldn't have that info (or share it), but maybe because it's sort of at odds with what they do.

You could contact Alley Cat Allies. They have a list of colonies and resources. Not all animal control agencies support TNR or colonies but instead euthanasia for ferals.
